A transfer saga to rival Paul Pogba’s, Christian Eriksen’s name has been linked with a Tottenham exit for what feels like eternity.
The Denmark international stoked the flames in the summer by revealing that he was open to a Spurs exit, and it was then later suggested that Manchester United were planning a late bid for the play-maker.
However, neither deal materialised before the end of the deadline, and the 27-year-old was essentially forced to stay put in north London. But with his contract expiring at the end of the season, the rumours of him potentially leaving Mauricio Pochettino’s side hasn’t died away.
And on Sky Sports on Sunday afternoon, United legend Roy Keane weighed in on the conversation, and insisted the Dane simply wouldn’t improve the Red Devils.
After hearing the Irishman’s comments, fans of the Manchester side took to Twitter to voice their opinions on the situation.
Many Red Devils supporters insisted Keane is wrong to believe that, and insisted the Spurs star is unquestionably better than the likes of Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira.
